What a nice end to our wonderful weekend trip! We checked out this morning and headed to Newport Beach for a few hours. I loved walking on the beach and in the water. It was AMAZING! I missed it so much! We even had a quick mini photoshoot. I even got to fly my kite and eat sea food! It was so perfect!

Disney Part II - Today was way more crowded than yesterday, but just as fun! We were able to have a total chill day and got to take our time and relax. Since we had been on every ride yesterday, there wasn't much of a rush. So nice! Plus I got to do my photography homework at Disney - which is pretty rad ;) We love Disneyland!

Disneyland!! After rolling in around 3:30 and getting about 2-3 hours of sleep, we had a blast! It was like the best day ever! We got to ride so many things and do so much with hardly any waits! It was so perfect!

Road Trip! Danny, Shaun, Jeremy and I all headed out after class for Disneyland!! We rolled in around 3/3:30 and got about 2-3 hours of sleep!

Our car has been in the shop and so we've been borrowing Dad's car. I got a call saying that everything is all fixed and we can get it tomorrow! Woo! It'll be nice to drive our own car again :)

Happy Birthday Asher! After Sunday dinner and celebrating Dad's birthday at Rich and Sarah's, we drove down to Spanish Fork to give Asher his brand new fishing pole! He is so excited to use it and his grandparents even got him a tackle box! He's all set!

Danny and I took Mak to finally get her birthday presents! We got her some new pens, pencils and a "how to draw" Disney Princess book. Happy 15th birthday Mak!

I had just gotten back from one of the most beautifully lit photoshoots just in time to see Madison learn to ride her bike without training wheels! I grabbed my camera and snapped a few frames. She loves this one because it makes her look like she's going "b'really fast!"

I took a walk down memory lane today. I'm gathering my materials I need for a presentation in Senior Seminar. this photo album is full of the first pictures I took with my own camera when I was five. [With the exceptions of the pictures of me] It's so fun looking back and remembering winding my own film and taking it to Costco with Mom. I also can't believe that they gave me a camera when I was 5! haha

Home again! After another long day of flying [close to 10 hours] and only one delayed flight we were finally back in Utah. Robby picked us up from the airport and we had dinner with Danny's parents.

Also, happy 24th Wedding Anniversary to my Mom and Dad! Wooo!! Almost a quarter of a century!

Disney World Day!! Danny and I took Spencer early to Disney World right when it opened. [The rest of the crew was coming up later for Mickey's Halloween Party] We got in and rode the new Seven Dwarfs Mine Car ride - which was our longest wait, only 40 minutes! I have never been to Disney World before when the wait time is just the walk to the front! That's how it was for everything! It was awesome! Then it was the Halloween Party and we met up with G and Annie and the kids. There was a sweet parade that even had the Headless Horsemen kick it off! We trick or treated and got so much candy! Plus we even got to meet Ana and Elsa! That was like a ten minute wait, tops! It was so fun! We closed the place down - at midnight! We didn't get to bed around 1:30 am! Tomorrow is going to be so much fun waking up at 6 to go to the airport! Our quick little weekend away was so much fun! But now we need a vacation from our vacation!

Yay for family who tolerate my pictures! haha! Sea World today! So much fun! We saw shows, rode tones of rides and had a blast playing! I had never been before so it was super cool for me! Gary and Annie even got us in to the Pass holders party and we got characters drawn of us, lunch with the pres of Sea World and the kids got their face painted! The killer whales and dolphin shows were my favorite!

Beach Day!! Gary took the day off and while the kids were in school we hit up Cocoa Beach! We spent the whole morning boogie boarding! So awesome! Then we hit up "I dream of yogurt" for some froyo. We were pretty burnt out so we headed home, showered and then got the kids from school and headed over to Steak and Shake! Yummy food and awesome shakes with the kiddos. After that, we just chilled at the house and napped until it was time for the football game! Matthew is in the band so we all went to the game to watch him during halftime! It's so great to be with family!

This is what riding in an airplane is like with Danny. the whole way.
We flew out of Salt Lake today with our ending destination in Orlando! Woo! Except that our first flight was late and we were worried that we wouldn't make our next flight [which was 45 min apart] and only after running across the entire Las Vegas airport did we find out that our flight was delayed and we had to switch gates. It took forever! We finally landed at 12:30 in the morning. Poor Gary had to come pick us up - luckily we were texting him updates and when we boarded he figured we wouldn't be rolling in around 10:30 like we were scheduled to. But considering how often Danny and I fly, we're doing pretty good having this be our only "bad flying day" so far.

I figured it was about time for, "XX Chromosomes" part 4 [I've done one of these every year] Tomorrow Danny and I are shoving off to Florida for the weekend. [We got a super good deal on flights a few months ago and decided why not?] My job, since we always leave for vacation the first day of Danny's off week, is to pack us up and get the house ready to go. I wish I had a few other Whitney's chillin' around so they could contribute! So instead I decided to take 5 different photos and composite them together to form one. yay for productivity. However, I am all ready to go now, so it wasn't time wasted!

I swear this just happened. Almost a year ago to this day we got a crazy rain storm that nearly flooded our little apartment. This was a break in the storm today, luckily it never got as bad as last time, but it gave me an excellent excuse to wear my rain boots to school!

I spent my entire day down in Delta. I'm not sure if you've ever been there, but it's about 2 hours south of Orem and it literally has one main road, and that's it. There's literally nothing there. But I loved it! I got to photograph one of my favorite weddings there this year! Gabi and Tyler sure know how to throw a party! I had such a fun time getting to be a part of their special day! I can't wait to be done editing their images so I can show them off!

As a Mother's Day gift to my mom I promised her updated head shots of all the kids. Since then I have been secretly fulfilling her gift. I wanted nice pictures of all the kids, but not too matchy, or at the same location. So I've been going down the ranks. After I had taken about 4 of our portraits I noticed that we were all in blue, so I made sure that the rest of the kids each had a form of blue on. While Mom was at YW Danny and I went up after school and assembled them. It took longer than expected because Mom's frames she had me paint two years ago are a 10X13 and our mats were for an 11X14 - so we had to trim them down to scale. We managed to get it done. The only thing left to do is have mom make up her mind on where she wants them hung!

Tuesdays are hard. I have class at 10, but if I want a parking spot [not even a decent one] I need to be there by 9:30. My day doesn't end until I finish up with Renaissance Art History - and that doesn't get over until 8pm. I have just enough time to come home veg out for half an hour and then go pick up Danny from work. Hooray for DP and our [dwindling] reserve of Swiss Chocolate!

Happy Labor Day! I spent the morning taking three quizzes for one of my classes that I am FINALLY registered for and then we headed up to Sandy. The plan was to hike donut falls, but when we got there, the parking lot and up and down the road were completely full. Like not even at the trail head full. So we said, "screw that" and drove up to Brighton. Everyone and their dog [literally] were on the board walk too! So we found our own quick little hike up behind the ski resort. It was quick and fun with lots of rocks to climb over! Nick and Heidi met up with us back at the house for a BBQ and games/nerf. I have the cutest, most thoughtful husband ever! around 5 ish Danny told me that I would be going somewhere with my mom around 6 but I couldn't know what it was! That hour of waiting was agony! But it was worth it, I watched as mom pulled in and parked next to the Massage Envy in Draper! That little stinker had booked us a massage to celebrate my first [super stressful] week of school being over! We walked up to the front desk and it was then that I found out that not only had Danny gotten me a massage [something I had never had before, check that off the bucket list!] but had bought me a year membership with them! I can go back once a month until next year! He is so sweet! It was the craziest thing ever to feel my knots just melt away! Totally relaxing :) Way to go Danny, best husband of the year award! I just love him!

Yay Ashley! Danny and I drove up to bountiful to hear Ash's farewell talk! She's going to be serving in Philadelphia! We partied it up at the Foster's house afterwards. I love getting together with family!

Danny and I got up super early to go cheer on the girls in their first XCountry meet! [It was Mak's first meet ever!] They were at American Fork High School so it was easy to get to. We were able to see Mak start and finish her race. She's on JV since she's a frosh, but she was the first one of Alta's girls to finish, plus she was sick too! Go Mak! Julie is on varsity and wasn't going to be racing until like 1 o'clock [Mak's was at 8 am] and we were due in Spanish Fork by ten. We wished them luck with the rest of their races and drove down to Bill and Min's house to help move some stuff to a storage shed. Well, the boys did anyways, I hung out with the kiddos and Mindy and we were spoiled with a yummy lunch of meatballs, rice, fresh corn on the cob and jalapeno bread from the farmers market that Mindy and I went to in the morning. We ended our day with a run at my parents house and fresh peach smoothies! Yum!

BYU vs UCONN game! We totally creamed them! The boys were pretty excited. Danny and I even snagged Kenny and he watched the whole game!

So basically I'm registered again. My advisor was totally useless and thanked me for doing all the "leg work." boo. But I ended up finding out that regardless of if I paid for my tuition, it never went through, so I had to pay a fine and then I was able to register for half of the classes I originally wanted and the other half I was wait-listed for. awesome. I was able to get into senior seminar and get my art history minor approved. Little by little. I'm too stubborn not to graduate next semester!

Third day of school! things are sort of starting to look up, I was able to get some answers - we'll see how tomorrow goes. But tonight was Mikayla's last night with us [she had been staying with us for about 2 weeks in-between semesters] She works three jobs so we hardly ever saw her! We were able to snag some dinner at Cafe Rio! Lots of fun!
