Rather than coming home from school and starting in on my homework, I decided to make a birds nest to go with my Robin's eggs that I got from my mom to help unwind.

Today was Baby Brian's official newborn photo shoot!
All of his photos turned out FANTASTIC!

I "convinced" [didn't really give them a choice] Anna and Brian they needed to have a quick family shot, and I am so glad I did!

Spring is Coming!!
I was in front of my computer for a good part of the day - between editing photos, working on HW, networking/advertising my photography & burning CD's, my plate's full.
I decided I needed a break and walked outside to get our mail.
I took my camera with me with the intent to walk around our entire parking lot hoping to find any "I love Oregon" stickers [you can read why here]
As I was walking home, there was one tree that was still illuminated by the setting sun
[Which at this point was hardly visible]
I just had to nab a photo of it - this tree looks as happy and ready for the warm sun of spring and summer as I am!
- I am so over the cold -

- You can take the girl outta Oregon, but you can't take the Oregon outta the girl -

For an upcoming assignment in my Documentary Photography class we are doing a project on Typology!

[this is where I need your guys' help!]

I want to take as many pictures as I can of the "I love Oregon" sticker.
I've seen them around, so I know it's doable, it's just going to be a lot of walking up and down parking lots, unless you have one or know of someone who does!
It can be on cars, water bottles, laptops, bikes, whatever!
I just need to photograph it!

Let me know if you know of anyone in Utah [or an area I will be going through] that has a sticker so that I can personally photograph their Oregon pride.

- I just love how us Oregonians are so proud of our home that we feel the need to brand ourselves with it once we leave the state. When you meet a fellow Oregonian in provo or wherever, it's like you have this automatic bond and "buddy status" is instantly reached. I just love that about my home state and I want to show our bond and connection to each other with the world -

[For those of you wondering, I don't EVER plan on stopping this photo project. I want to show all the places my fellow Oregonians are - and the fact that they carry the love of our beautiful state wherever they go]

Danny and I try to have at least one "art day" a week.
We stay in and create things!
Today had a very successful outcome!
[We trimmed/glazed some bowls up at highland, I photographed & got almost done with a painting using pallet knives - something I've always wanted to try - and Danny threw a few more bowls]
I love that I've married someone as creative as I am - Our jam packed apartment is proof of that!

The Creperie Danny and I found has little places for business cards in the entrance
[we ate there again]
Who knows how long my little card will stay up there, but it can't hurt right?

I love my new tiny niece!
She is so small and precious, I couldn't wait to photograph her.
However, this sweet little girl slept for about .0245 seconds.
- barely long enough for me to get this shot -
[And was fussy and grumpy for the rest of the shoot]
Luckily I brought my lights with me since our nice window light left us!

Cousins!
Amelia came to town and so we had the "Jones' from the East" up for Sunday Dinner.
It was fun just hanging out and eatin' milkshakes and mom's version of Cafe Rio!
I can't wait for when Nick and Heidi get married and even more cousins will be here!

Valentines Day!!
Danny surprised me by waking me up with a whole plate of chocolate covered strawberries and chocolate milk!
Then we got ready, and headed up to Salt Lake to stop by his parents house - they're in St George this weekend and we wanted to say goodbye
We also got to see our new niece baby Lily! [so cute!]
Then we hung out with my sibs until it was time to go meet Joel and Crys at Goodwood
We all had yummy BBQ and then played some Rock Smith back at Joel + Crys' house
Such a great day!

[we had our waitress take our photo at the restaurant - but it came out blurry. Luckily, Tori has a much steadier hand]

Crepes!
Danny and I found a new favorite place to eat in Orem!
They have so many yummy crepes [which is what I am always in the mood for]
We got Nuttella and Strawberries and Danny got a Turkey, Bacon, Avocado that was totally bomb! [I'm ordering that one too next time]
Best part is, they're open until like 2 am! [which it super rare to find anything open after like 9/10 in Orem or Provo]

Ashley was in town so I spent the whole day [practically] with her and her cute sis in-law [Carly] and nephew [his name is Danny ;)]
We just hung out, got lunch at Rumbi's and went to the mall.

[Back when I chopped off all of my hair, during the awkward stage of growing back, I wanted to do a fishtail braid so bad - but my hair was always too short. Now that I've got the length back, I don't do it nearly as often as I'd like]

Introducing: Baby Brian!
Anna and Brian had their sweet baby boy yesterday.
I got to go over and play with him for a little bit and catch up with Anna.
He is so tiny and sweet and beautiful!
I got some great shots of him in our short shooting time [someone was hungry!]

[I'm also planning a new born shoot with Anna so we can get the whole family in here!]

Today was super exciting - and by exciting, I mean "not really"
I was on the computer like ALL DAY
Getting picture of the day edited and caught up on, not to mention, the three shoots I had last weekend, and on top of that I still managed to get my Math homework done and have a nice, warm dinner ready for Danny when he got home from work.
Go me!

My "Save it for a Rainy Day" fund is about full -
I started this thing when we moved away from Oregon.
It took a hit when I went to Rexburg and needed laundry money.
It originally was a way for me to visit Oregon, but now that I'm married [& Oregon is easier to get to] it has turned into our "Germany Fund!"
Amy and Karl have been stationed in Germany for 3 years and the plan is to visit them!

Highland!
After class Danny and I headed up to the school to throw some bowls/take pictures.
For an upcoming photo assignment I'm supposed to photograph a process - so this is the start of my series on how a bowl is made :)
I've got a pretty handsome model too.

Movie Night!
Danny and I went to see Delivery Man at 10 o'clock on a Tuesday night!
We practically had the theater to ourselves.
We didn't get home until after midnight - with an 8 o'clock class in the morning!
It was worth it - I love hanging out with my hubby!

I did a maternity/family shoot for Ed + Steph today
Eli was a real trooper 'cause it was freezing!
But we were able to get some fantastic shots!

What a fun day!
After I got my homework done in the morning, Danny and I drove up to SLC to hang out with Joey and see a movie! [Jack Ryan]
Then we tried to help instal her new sink - that didn't work so well :(
Next it was out to dinner with Nate!
It was so fun to hang out and eat yummy food!
