Happy Birthday to the best mother in law ever!
Danny and I headed up to Salt Lake after the dentist to wish Mom a happy birthday!
We [Mom, Dad, Danny, Me, Ed, Steph & their little munchins] all went out to celebrate at Red Lobster so Mom could get her jumbo shrimp cocktail!
It was a great day! [Too bad Konrad wasn't here so we could celebrate with him for his 20th birthday too!]
Mom even let me take a birthday picture of her, and I'm so glad I did!
She is the most beautiful, loving, caring, kindhearted person I know!
It's a total bonus that she's my Mom too!
Happy Birthday! We all Love you!

I love how much character and memories are on our fridge :)
Whenever we get drawings from kiddos or pictures from our sibs we make sure to put them on the fridge.
It's sorta a symbol of status around our house ;)

Brought my hunk of alabaster home to work on it some more before class tomorrow.
I still can't get over the fact that THIS is HOMEWORK that I get a GRADE for!
My piece is still in the VERY early stages [as in this is the third time I've worked on it]
But I love it! I really think sculpting alabaster is going to be added to my list of hobbies.
I'll be sure to post a finished picture once it's done :)

I haven't worked out in literally months.
But it was like 72 degrees today so I decided to go on a run after school.
I decided to run a very hilly three miles.
In theory, this was a great idea.
... it might take me awhile to get back to the pace I used to run. ha.

I just like to make stuff :)
I saved a few film canisters from my dark room class when I was processing film and used pilers to put it back together!
Then I just glued some magnets to it and presto!
I also made some Jones Soda magnets too ;)

When I was in Oregon, I got to spend most of my time there photographing my grandparents.
My Bapa gave me his old camera and said he wanted me to have it.
[for those of you who don't know, my Bapa has Dementia]
He told me that it was his dad's, my great grandpa Dale's camera first, and that grandpa Dale had given it to him.
He even went on to tell me what kind of film it would need and that I might have a hard time finding it [luckily there's a shop in Orem that has it]
I had a lot of tender moments with my Bapa this last weekend, just the two of us with the house to ourselves, when my Bapa was full of clarity and told me stories like he used to when I was a kid.
This camera is now one of the most precious things I own.
Not just because it's a sweet medium format camera in really good shape, but because Bapa gave it to me and it was a part of that weekend where I got to see him through my lens without any distraction or dementia, just me and him.
Just like it was when I was little and would go over there every day and follow him around the shop or to go get a warm can of rootbeer or sit and eat peanuts with him and watch the birds.
This weekend gave me back my Bapa, I loved every second of it, especially when we were done shooting, we put on some "cowboys" and cracked open a tub of peanuts and shared them together.

School got out early for me so Danny and I went over to Bill + Mindi's house to watch some March Madness and play with the kiddos.
I should have bet something with Danny because the Ducks totally creamed BYU [by like 19 points!]
While Danny and Bill were watching another game, I became the horsey for my cute niece and nephew.
I just LOVE Linc's cheesey face.
I really hope he keeps it forever!
If not, Aunt Whitney has TONS of photos to prove it existed ;)

Tyler Date!
When Danny and I first got engaged we took all of my siblings on individual dates.
Tyler was too little at the time to understand/appreciate it.
But tonight we nabbed him from a house full of mom's squealing young women and took him to his favorite place, the Dollar Tree!
It was so cute!
He was the happiest little boy when I gave him a basket and told him to go shopping.
He picked out: a big yellow ball, Curious George coloring book, mini ATV hot wheel, a bag of whistles [sorry dad], a horse, squirty gun, bag of ring pops and the thing he was most exited for [he asked us multiple times on the way over if they had it] Cotton Candy!
It was totally worth it to hear him tell us stories and how he has a shadow and he named it Madi and just hear him giggle. so cute!

We drove back from Oregon today [left about 4:30 am Oregon time]
We were able to celebrate this hunk's birthday with my side of the family!
He is so spoiled!

Crabbing!
Uncle Jon, Brig, Robert, Danny and I all went crabbing on the Bay in Newport!
It was so much fun!
[and Danny's first time too]
We caught 4 Dungeness and a ton of Red Rock.
They were lunch! Boiled them and ate them right there.
Probably the best crab we've ever eaten!

Party with the Cousins!
Danny, Robert and I left Sandy at 5:30 this morning and drove straight through!

We were supposed to leave earlier, but Robert is an idiot. Danny woke him up at 4:30 after he got out of the shower and told him to hop in and grab his stuff. Meanwhile, Danny and I start to get the car packed and loaded up. I went downstairs to grab Robert's suitcase and find him STILL ASLEEP IN BED! I was so mad [I don't do mornings] and told him he had five seconds to get of bed or we were leaving without him. He grabbed his crap and headed out to the car and immediately went back to sleep. [apparently my 18 year old brother can't wake up with an alarm clock and depends on other people to wake him up everyday] We had to drive the whole way with an unshowered, stinky, morning breathed Robert. Come to find out later, genius over here packed his cell phone charger but left his phone in Utah!

[he also slept on the food and smashed our donuts. jerk]

But in all seriousness it was fun to have Robert along, even if his motto for the whole trip was "I wasn't thinking"

packing, packing, packing!
tomorrow morning we leave bright and early for Oregon!
I'm so excited!
Although, trips were so much easier to get ready for when I'm not in charge of getting anyone else ready too!
It took like all day to get food, snacks, pack out suitcases, clean the house, do laundry and get homework done - and there's only two of us!
Makes me appreciate my mom that much more, she had that times ten!

Happy Birthday to my handsome Danny!
I baked some fun-fetti cupcakes and surprised Danny at work with them!
Looks like I wasn't the only one who remembered, 'cause Bill had dropped by some donuts for him too!
Even though he had to work all day, I still made sure Danny came home to a decorated house with presents and more cupcakes!
I just love him :)

National Pancake Day!
Danny and I were going to go to the Ihop down the road to get free pancakes!
But we didn't even make it to the parking lot before we turned around
We could see Ihop from the road and it was PACKED!
So we went home and I made us our own pancakes :)
Breakfast for any meal is always a good meal.

Art Day!
Danny and I went up to Highland to do some pottery.
Danny threw 16 bowls while I glazed one and carved the entire alphabet into stamps.
I can't wait to use these on my next creation, get ready for some mugs full of character!

I can't believe she's in double digits!
I was 12 when Hailey was born and would always steal her away from mom and try to hide her under the blankets in bed when mom came looking :)

Late night tonight.
Danny and I had to drive up to the Murray Rite Aid to get some meds that the Orem store ran out of.
They are the closest store that was open 'til midnight.
It's not like we have school or work in the morning... oh wait -_-
