Since January 1st, 2011 I have been taking at least one photograph a day. I love seeing my life play out in my photos - whether it was of what I did today, or of something conceptual and artistic. I believe it is so important to keep on shooting, not only to improve on my talents, but to document my life.

Danny's car has been acting funny since his last day of work at Rite Aid. Since then, we've gone back to a one car family until we can get it looked at. This morning while dropping Danny off at Jolley's in SLC Jones and I were hit with heavy traffic. The little dogs sleep in a crate at night and I don't let them out to go pee until after I get back. Since today took longer than usual I knew I was going to have to be fast if I wanted to avoid any accidents. We ran inside and I opened the sliding glass doors in prep for running pups. When I opened the basement doors to get the dogs I was met with a wave of pee. Oh no. I ran down the stairs to see that the crate was a lake of dog urine. The dogs were (understandably) happy to see me. And in their excitement began jumping and flinging pee everywhere. I tried to think of the best way to get them outside with the least amount of pee getting on my carpet, when Jones decided to be helpful and open their crate door - literally releasing the floodgates. Pee and a fury of fur spewed everywhere. I gave up trying to preserve my carpets and instead focused all my energy on getting those dogs outside! I herded them up the stairs towards the door. We were almost there! They were almost outside - that is until Kida stopped 3 feet from the door and peed on the ONLY AREA RUG I have on this level. A tiny 5x7 that is mostly under a coffee table. I threw them outside, along with my curious pups and shut the doggy door. My day was spent carpet cleaning and trying to get the smell out of my house! By the end of the morning Jones and I were filthy and I decided it would be best to start over for the day with a bath and shower while the dogs all played outside. This instance just cemented in the fact that it will be a very long while before I ever attempt to do the "puppy stage" again.
