Austin is on his mish right now in Canada. On occasion we get packages from him - not for us, but for himself. Austin's really good at buying random things and realizing he doesn't want to haul it around with him at every transfer, will mail it home. One of these treasures just happened to be a battle ready Master Sword from the Legend of Zelda. I took it upon myself to take pictures of me using it for everyday chores and then e-mail them to Aust. I have a feeling he is going to love my newest photo series ;)

This morning while I was out shooting another of my fairy tale series, Danny and his bros were helping tear carpet out of Robby's new house! Then we went to the BYU vs Savannah State football game. totally creamed them. It was pouring rain so we only stayed until halftime, but when we left the score was 51-0, BYU. Afterwards Danny and I drove up to Fashion Place to play around with stuff at the Apple Store and meet up with Mom and Dad at Red Rock. I'd say it was a pretty productive day :)

Green Jacket Ceremony! [backstory: Danny and his bros and cousins have their version of the Masters - winner gets the Green Jacket for the year] Joel won the jacket for the 2nd time in a row!

Party Time! My UVU photo gang [plus a few spouses] all went to Emilie's reception tonight! Emily and Tyler looked so beautiful and in love! We are all so happy for them! It was so rad hanging out with my buds outside of school! [Delaina and Tyler left before I could snag a picture of all of us]

Look what I did today.
I was sitting on my leg in bed, editing pictures when it started to fall asleep. I tried to slide it out from under me, but it was all twisted up in the sheets and blankets and when I moved my leg, my knee didn't move with it. [again.] luckily it was only out of place for like 5-10 seconds. I feel like I just did this. [refer to the first few days of January of 2013]

It was the first snow of the season and while everyone was bundled up and scraping cars, I was making this flower crown for my sleeping beauty. It's socially acceptable to wear these around town, right? I'm kind of in love with it!

Danny and I drove to practically every Savers in the valley looking for dresses for my shoot. We were able to find dresses for all my models! It was so fun [and a little scary at the West Valley one!] This shoot is working out so well!

I was able to photograph the Hansen's newest addition, Dulce. She is so precious and beautiful, just like her momma, Dani! I can't wait to edit all of them! I'll be posting previews on my facebook page and a complete blog post once they're all edited.

Best date night ever! Manny and Josh were up for drill and got Aunt Ana to babysit Kimber, we even talked Tanner and Lauren into coming and playing with us! We hung out at Provo Beach Resort, climbed the ropes course played a few arcade games and creamed a group of 12 year olds at laser tag, twice! It was so fun catching up with everyone!

I have always loved long exposures - they are so fascinating to me. While Danny was driving I held my shutter open and moved my camera around. This is my light Tartan! I have no idea how I got the plaid design, and don't think I could ever recreate it! I just love it!

The leaves are almost gone. Winter is right around the corner. I have mixed feelings. On one hand, this fall has been so wonderful and warm, but the other, the faster winter gets here, brings spring sooner and that means graduation!

I began shooting part of my final for color photography today. I put out a "model call" on facebook and instagram and was so thrilled to get response for my series. I'm working on a contemporary/fine art/fashion series of fairy tale characters and a single color that I feel best represents them. Each frame of a different character tells the story of a crucial scene. I got my inspiration from Annie Leibovitz's Disney series and Henri Cartier Bresson's "decisive moment." I'm in the process of finding finishing touches for the wardrobes and getting dates nailed down with my models. I am so excited to finally put my images to life!

Today was a very special day for the Robbins'! Asher was baptized and his sweet little sister Cozette was blessed! I'm so happy for both of them! It was a great celebration with lots of friends and family!

Happy Halloween! Yay! One of my favorite holidays ever! This year I went as a Jedi and made my costume [like always] I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out :) Danny worked all day and since I didn't have school I hung out in Sandy all day and helped at the Halloween party in Madison's classroom, took the kids trick or treating to the mall, got spooky pancakes at Ihop and even went trick or treating with mom and the kids around the neighborhood. I'd be lying if I said I didn't bring around my own pillow case too. haha shhh! I drove down to Orem to get Danny and then we went back up to Sandy so Danny could be apart of the black market of candy trading. It was a super rad Halloween! I loved it!
